Aimee M.Veterinary Technician
Aimee is one of our original employees when first building Amici. Aimee has been in the veterinary field since 1998. Her favorite area of medicine is diagnostics. She loves working in the laboratory doing bloodwork and cytology’s. With Aimee’s great expertise, she manages our inventory along with finding and searching for top of the line products at an affordable price for you and your pet(s). Along with her great knowledge in the veterinary field, Aimee prides herself in teaching those new to the industry. While Aimee’s son Shawn is away at college, she enjoys pet sitting and exploring Balboa Park. Aimee is a fantastic technician and truly loves and enjoys all our clients.
Ashley Q.Registered Veterinary Technician
Ashley is originally from Santa Cruz where she then found herself moving to San Diego 4 years ago with her husband Mike. She graduated from the RVT program at Carrington College and received her RVT license in 2009. Her passion is not only working with animals but also educating our clients. On her free time, she enjoys going with her husband and dog, Olive, to the beach and riding horses. She has been working with Amici since February 2016 and absolutely loves what she does!
Ashley U.Registered Veterinary Technician
Ashley, originally from Honolulu, HI, came to Amici in October 2014 as a Pima Medical Student Intern. During her time interning, she had officially become a National Certified RVT. As part of her rotations, she worked endless hours at a 24-Hour emergency pet hospital. She had developed an interest in Emergency, Critical care, and Dentistry. Ashley is always eager to gain more knowledge in the Veterinary field. Ashley and Marcel have a 4-year-old Spaniel mix named Astro. She found him abandoned in a parking lot when he was about 5 weeks old. Ashley’s sweet and fun personality make her a dream team member. Her love for animals is evident with every patient she touches. Team Amici adores Ashley and we know you will too!
Rachel B.Registered Veterinary Technician
About 2 years ago, Rachel moved out to San Diego with her husband from Texas. She is currently a registered Veterinary technician in Texas and currently working on her certification for California. She had previously worked at an emergency hospital while working during the day at a veterinary practice. She has been in the field for about 6 years and loving it. On her spare time she enjoys cooking and baking and spending quality time with her husband and dog.
Rachel P.Registered Veterinary Technician
Rachel joined the Amici Team in April of 2017.. She grew up here in San Diego and went to Mesa College to earn a business degree. She realized that her true passion was working with animals, and graduated from PIMA Medical Institute in 2015. Rachel passed her national board exam in 2016 and became an RVT. The thing she loves the most about the veterinary field is the constant opportunity to learn new things. She is especially interested in surgery and educating clients. When she has free time she enjoys spending it with her family, friends and dog Harvey. She loves the beach, cooking and watching Jeopardy.
Ursula M.Registered Veterinary Technician
Graduated from Northwest Florida State College in 2011 with an Associate of Art Degree. Graduated from Pima Medical Institute in May 2015 with a Veterinary Technician Associate of Science Degree. Passed the VTNE July 2015. When she is not at work, she loves spending time outdoors in the San Diego sunshine with her husband and two loving Pitbulls. She has been at Amici Pet Hospital since July 2015 and enjoys going to work every day!
Betty L.Veterinary Technician Assistant
Betty recently graduated from UCSD and has been working at Amici for over 3 years now. She hopes to become a Veterinarian specializing in Wildlife and Exotics. She currently does not own a pet, however she enjoys working with all of our Amici clients. Betty is an amazing employee and truly loves what she does.
Josh W.Veterinary Technician Assistant
A native San Diegan, Josh Walters joined the Amici team/ family in July of 2016. Josh loves what he does and hopes to one day go on to become a veterinarian himself. During his spare time, he enjoys film, cycling, and carpentry.
